Duties
- Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on controls and related equipment; adjust and calibrate when necessary.
- Additionally, respond to complaints regarding HVAC equipment and adjust or repair, including emergency call-in situations.
- Also, perform repairs on pumps, compressors and related equipment; perform minor electrical and pipe fitting repairs to HVAC systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Likewise, the installation of HVAC equipment as appropriate.
- Conduct scheduled rounds of buildings and related equipment.
- Report all complications on specific job situations or equipment to departmental supervisor(s) and/or their designee.
- Complete minor plumbing duties.
- Furthermore, perform various routine maintenance assignments and assist the Facilities Management personnel in the repair and maintenance of structures, equipment, and fixtures of the facility and grounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree/trade schooling in related field or equivalent will be considered
- Also, three years of relevant work experience preferred
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Furthermore, EPA 410-A Technician Certification
- Stationary Engineer Certification preferred
- Also, the ability to work in noisy, hot and cold climates and all types of outside weather conditions; hearing protection equipment required at times
- Maintain valid driver’s license
- Additionally, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds; able to stand, walk, stoop in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Furthermore, mechanical aptitude, ability to use applicable power tools and read blueprints preferred
