Duties

The faculty member will conduct his/her assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purposes of Aims Community College as stated in the school catalog. The primary purpose of the faculty member is to teach. The faculty member is also responsible for scholarly and creative activities (professional development) and service to the college.

1. Teaching assignments may include a variety of courses in mathematics depending on the candidate’s qualifications and area of expertise.
2. Also, assist in program/curriculum evaluation, articulation, revision, and development.
3. Additionally, participate in on-going professional development.
4. Assist with the evaluation and selection of textbooks and other resource materials.
5. Also, perform other duties as assigned by the Math Department Chair and the Academic Dean.

Qualifications for Vacancy for Part-Time Instructor

1. Teaching Career and College Prep math courses requires a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field.
2. Additionally, teaching a College-Level math course requires a master’s degree in mathematics or a master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous College teaching experience.
