Apply for the Vacancy for Security Coordinator at DRC in Congo. The Security Coordinator (CSC) will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Security Risk Management System (SRMS) for all interventions in DR Congo, in close collaboration with management, focal points of security and the regional security coordinator. The position will report directly to the Country Director, with technical reports sent to the Regional Security Coordinator.

Duties

Security Risk Management Responsibilities

• Supervising the Security Risk Management (MRS) process
• Develop security management policies, protocols and procedures at the zone and country level
• Likewise, facilitate Security Risk Assessments (ERS) and support the implementation of mitigation measures
• Also, analyze, manage and communicate relevant information within the geographic area of responsibility

Training, supervision and support

• Support and provide safety-related training
• Furthermore, coaching and providing technical supervision to local security personnel
• Likewise, facilitate support for ISS in the event of a crisis, if necessary.

Qualifications

The incumbent must meet the given criteria

• University degree in International Relations, Political Science or related fields
• Also, HEAT or SAFE training with certificate to support
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a safety and security manager/advisor in an INGO
• Likewise, work experience in a multicultural environment
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective and contextualized protocols and systems
• Also, experience in information gathering, analysis and reporting
• Ability to conduct and produce high-quality safety risk assessments (ERS)
• Experience in managing critical incidents
• Similarly, safety training experience

Languages:

• Perfect command of French
• Also, good knowledge of English
• Knowledge of Swahili or Lingala will be an asset
