Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for coordinating all health services at Lycoming College that influence and impact the health and well-being of the students. Additionally, as a clinician, the Director provides comprehensive health care and has an established network for specialty care needs of the students. In addition, the Director is responsible for developing educational services that enhance the health and wellness of Lycoming students.

Also, the role of Director of Health Services assumes a leadership role in defining goals, standards, policies, and procedures. Furthermore, S/he demonstrates comprehensive clinical knowledge, facilitates a professional collaboration between colleagues and creates an environment that promotes growth and development of Lycoming College students. Moreover, this is a supervising role, overseeing an administrative assistant and nursing staff.

Requirements/Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills (both oral and written), strong supervisory and decision-making skills, as well as strong computer skills. A Master of Science degree is strongly preferred as well as a current license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania Professionals. Likewise, the University may consider professionals with MD, DO, PA or RN degrees with appropriate and relevant experience. Also, incumbents must have a minimum of 5 years recent experience providing health care. Furthermore, having administrative oversight/managerial experience in a medical-setting. Similarly, current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical provider. Also, a post-offer pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check is required.
