Job Description
WFP’s HR strategy aims to add significant value to WFP’s capacity to deliver on its mandate by improving decision-making on human capital management. The HR Data Scientist Associate will be contributing to the above goal working alongside a diverse team of HRMOI data scientists, data engineers and business analysts.
Duties
The incumbent will have the following duties as a Data Scientist Associate
- Identify, examine, and processes raw data, trends, analysis, and assessments to aggregate disparate information required for HR reporting and analytics.
- Also, generate standard and ad-hoc HR reports, produce and maintain HR analytics dashboards and other Business Intelligence solutions using Tableau or other visualization tools in support of workforce planning, performance management, learning and development, workforce costs, etc.
- Additionally, analyze and Verify HR Data: research corporate and satellite HR data sources and make any corrections to existing data as needed to ensure accuracy of HR reports and analytics.
- Also, create a Digital Conversion Program: analyze existing HR and other WFP functions’ systems and create a suitable program/database needed to convert data that feeds HR and corporate reporting, analytical and data visualization solutions.
- Likewise, create new visualization solutions that support large data sets and analytics methodologies required for combined HR and operational analyses and dashboards.
- Also, maintain HR analytics databases and dashboards and answer any questions users might have regarding the system.
Requirements for Vacancy for Data Scientist Associate
Interested candidates must meet the given criteria
Essential:
- Advanced experience in MS excel.
- Experience working with multiple disparate data sources.
- Experience with data blending, data warehouse and data mining software.
Desirable:
- Experience with GIS software.
Education
- Completion of secondary school education.
- Likewise, certified as Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate or Tableau Desktop Certified Professional.
Language:
- Fluency (Level C) in English.
Experience:
- Six or more years of progressively responsible work experience, including in Data Visualization .
- Also, at least two years of experience developing Data Visualization solutions using Tableau, in particular the use of Tableau for the creation of dashboards, standard reports and ad-hoc reports.
- Additionally, experience with advanced data visualization topics such as complex calculations, table calculations, parameters, geographic mapping, and performance optimization.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiar with Data Visualization best practices.
- Also, knowledge and experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Understanding of data modelling techniques.
- Additionally, a strong commitment to data governance and security.
- Furthermore, excellent client interaction, problem-solving and communication skills.
