Position Highlights

The Eller College of Management is seeking applicants for part-time Adjunct Lecturers in the Business Communications Program. This is a non-tenure track teaching position.  With the responsibility of teaching one or two core undergraduate business communication courses  beginning in the Spring 2021 semester. Initial instruction will be limited to the Spring semester only, with the possibility of additional teaching assignments in future semesters dependent upon department need.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach one or two sections of an undergraduate Business Communication course.
• Also, coach and mentor students in business writing, oral presentations, and professional development.
• Additionally, maintain regularly scheduled office hours
• Moreover, meet and contribute regularly as part of an interdisciplinary faculty team

Minimum Qualifications

The candidates must meet the following qualification:

• Master’s degree in English, Communication, Business. Also, related field OR bachelor’s degree and five years of managerial experience in a business setting
• May need to be available to teach, in-person at the University of Arizona in Tucson

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in English, Communication, Business, or a related field
• Likewise, experience teaching business or technical writing or management communication
• Furthermore, experience teaching in online or digital environments
• Additionally, relevant experience working in a corporate setting
• Also, track record of success working with international audiences, including coaching international students on their professional English writing and speaking skills.
