The incumbent will have the following duties
Under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions for the College of Professional and Global Education’s Marketing and Communications Department.
Duties include but are not limited to the following: managing marketing project request submissions via the department’s project queue; assigning and tracking project deadlines; monitoring digital and social media ad campaigns. Also, assisting with simple web content edits, and proofreading of creatives and e-mail marketing to ensure they are meeting accessibility standards. Likewise, the incumbent will also be responsible for budget tracking, invoice processing, office supply and promotional item ordering, materials printing and shipping for events. Also the department travel arrangements and reimbursements.
You must meet the given criteria to be eligible
Equivalent to three years of general office experience, which included providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit administrative function. Additionally, knowledge of basic advertising, both print and digital. Likewise, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Also, demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University (CSU).
A bachelor’s degree. Two years of related full-time experience within an integrated marketing/advertising setting. Experience in scoping project needs for production, including budgeting and scheduling. Work experience in higher education or related field. Experience working with and understanding international audiences and markets a plus. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and video production experience.
