Help to develop, execute, and monitor the impact of routine- to medium-profile communications strategies and campaigns. Design, write, produce and disseminate often complex communications products that are strategic and consistently on-message about the Bank, its policies and operations. Moreover, monitor and analyze current events, including media/social media monitoring. Also, make strategic use of digital communication platforms including social media by designing social media campaigns, producing multimedia pieces, blogs and web stories, social media posts to promote results of Bank operations and support public discussion on the development agenda.
Likewise, help to promote and manage the social media channels of the World Bank Kabul Office and maintain and update the Country Office external web page. Likewise liaise and maintain relationships with certain key internal and/or external constituencies to identify opportunities for possible strategic partnerships and to strengthen the Bank’s overall effectiveness and reputation.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or relevant discipline and 5 years of professional experience. Excellent written and spoken command of English, Dari and Pashto. Excellent website production skills including: HTML coding, CSS, and Dreamweaver Proficiency in editing images using Photoshop. Also, the ability to do functional video-editing and embed video and multimedia into web pages Extensive experience with using multiple Web Content Management Systems.
Additionally, has experience in and/or demonstrates broad, proficiency in this competency. Online Communication / Strategy, Planning, and Execution – Able to support the planning and development of creative, engaging online communications campaigns. Furthermore, functional proficiency with graphic design principles, industry-standard applications, and web technologies; solid ability to encode, package, embed, and web-optimize digital multimedia assets. Also, this includes written, visual and audio products.
