Ventures For Sustainability is an online platform designed to promote interregional harmony between South Asian countries by engaging youth in researching, designing, and piloting Grassroot-level projects in the region. Ventures For Sustainability Fellowship is an intense seven-week long virtual program that requires commitment, dedication, and innovation from the participants. However, selected participants will be placed in teams of six, where they will be mentored, trained, and guided by their local and regional leaders.

Aim

Supported by U.S. Mission in Pakistan in Partnership with Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN), Ventures For Sustainability is designed in alignment with the U.S Embassy’s following aims:

• Strong Ties: Strengthening people to people ties on a local and regional levels.
• Community Engagement: Enhancing community engagement through positive messages and tolerant perspectives that enhance and amplify community-based efforts in a wide range of areas.
• Shared Values: Demonstrating shared values, which builds respect and trust and increases effective communication.

Eligible Areas

Each team is expected to research, design, develop, and pilot a small-scale project in response to the Covid19 pandemic in the following areas:

• Education
• Gender Equality
• Peace Building/Conflict Resolution
• Environmental Awareness

Criteria 

• Applicants for the Ventures For Sustainability Fellowship Programme must be from the following South Asian countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
• Ages between 18 to 24.
• Ability to communicate in English as well as must have access to a laptop and a steady internet connection.
• Must also be developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Have an interest in the following areas: Education, Gender Equality, Peace Building/Conflict Resolution, Environmental Awareness.
• Furthermore, all applicants should submit on recommendation letter.
