World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) calls applications for WFUNA International Model United Nations (WIMUN). World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) works closely with different UN entities to precisely simulate the United Nations in Model UN programs and provide students with the most realistic experience possible. The WIMUN conference features intensive training workshops taught by a former UN staff member and briefings on important agenda items by UN (and other) experts.

Details 

Due to the current and ongoing impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic the WIMUN team has decided to move WIMUN New York conference online. True to the mission, WIMUN will continue to provide the most accurate simulation of the UN through the Online Conference, which is scheduled to take place from 05 November – 14 November 2021.

Online simulations will take place over two weekends (05 November – 07 November and 13 November -14 November) with a wide variety of optional side events during the week (8-12 November). WFUNA plans to resume our face to face conferences once the pandemic is under control, but in the meantime, it will leverage technology to bring you a unique experience unlike any Model UN conference you have experienced before

Eligibility

• WFUNA International Model UN Geneva Online welcomes youth between the age of 14 and 30 from North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Oceania who have experience in Model UN or have high interest in global affairs and the United Nations.
• Delegate participants must be enrolled in a high school, university, grad school, or be a recent graduate under the age of 30.
• High school and university level conferences will operate separately with the exception of Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and side events.
• University delegates may register as part of a group or as an individual.
• High school delegates may register as part of a group or as an individual.
• WIMUN Geneva Online also welcomes advisors who have a role in planning and organizing a MUN conferences and teachers who use Model UN in their education curriculum.

• Registrations for WIMUN Geneva Online 2021 are now open
• Early registration deadline: May 31, 2021
• Priority registration deadline: August 31, 2021
• Regular registration deadline: October 10, 2021
