The Merit Scholarship will cover up to 100% tuition fee of top admitted candidates who demonstrate strength in work exposure. Also, international exposure, academic performance (strong bachelor or postgraduate degree/GMAT score), references, and interview performance.

- How to Apply: The application can apply to an MBA program through the university website. Admitted candidates will automatically be considered for this award and no additional application materials,
- Additionally, the students must present the following documents to the university:
- 2 application choices
- Likewise, Personal statement
- Public exam result certificates
- Furthermore, Final 3 years report of secondary education
- Furthermore, proof of prizes/awards
- Also, copy of national identification card along with contact information of academic referees.
- Additionally, applicants must have attempted GRE or GMAT and must provide scores of the same to be able to get admission at HKUST.
- Moreover, the applicants must attain minimum scores in the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS – 6.5
- TOEFL IBT – 80
