ECKM is the longest-running Academic KM Conference in Europe. The conference has participants from more than 40 countries in past years and attracts an interesting combination of academic scholars, practitioners and individuals engaging in various aspects of Knowledge Management.
Some journals including the Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management publish the results of research presented at this conference.
Moreover, the conference hosts a PhD and Master colloquium and also a competition for the Best Case History describing a successful KM application.
ECKM 2022 will also host the final round of The 8th Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Excellence Awards.
Since the moment the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic, there is a need to reconsider and revisit the existing theories of Knowledge Management in light of the different 4.0 enabling technologies occurring within companies that enable to tackle disruptions and achieve organizational resilience. Machine learning, telecommuting and smart working paradigms are the pillars that are boosting the growth of organizations.
Drawing on KM theories, the conference encourages to present papers that examine the new digital knowledge management paradigm, employ original methodologies, and offer an interesting theoretical and empirical contribution to this research theme.
