Position summary

The Electrical Engineering Department at the university seeks proficient tenure track position for a minimum 9 months. The incumbent will provide mentoring and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students; work with faculty and advisors in developing courses and curriculum. In addition to that, the position holder will perform the following duties

  • Develop, teach, and assess undergraduate and masters courses in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
  • Effectively advise students at the undergraduate and masters level as well as engage students in high impact learning practices.
  • Develop a sustainable scholarship program including seeking external funds to support the program.
  • Participation and contribution on graduate as well as undergraduate research activities if necessary.
  • Provide departmental, college, university, and professional service relevant to the department, university, community, profession, and state.

Qualifications and abilities

The ideal candidates must have the following qualifications

  •  Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Interest in or experience with faculty-student collaborative research, scholarship, and creative activity both at the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level preferred. Similarly, hands-on experience and the use of modern engineering tools in research and teaching will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, both written and oral.
