About role

The Tagliatela College of Engineering at the University of New Haven is seeking well qualified and reliable Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer/Electrical Engineering. The incumbent will be teaching a mix of graduate and undergraduate courses in any of the areas of electrical/computer engineering.  Courses may include power systems, power electronics, analog electronics, embedded systems, computer networking, robotics, cyber-physical devices, and IoT. S/he will also take part in an experiment and researches if necessary. Furthermore, candidates also might need to do other administrative duties assigned by the Department.

Requirement

In order to be eligible for the position, the candidates must have the following qualification

  • Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience in core electrical/computer engineering courses, but candidates with adequate teaching assistant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • A strong commitment to and evidence of potential for excellence in teaching.
  • Similarly, strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to collegiality and teamwork.
  •  Interest in active learning, experiential learning, and student engagement are desirable.
  • However, authorization to work in the US is necessary.
