Responsibilities

This is a 12-month library faculty position that will be required to perform the following tasks:

  • mentor and support staff of three in managing library acquisitions and electronic resources.
  • Additionally, the librarian will help develop the University’s strategy for acquiring and maintaining electronic resources and will support the teaching and learning that characterizes current, effective higher education.
  • develop expertise in all aspects of electronic resource management and acquisitions through participation in workshops, webinars, professional associations as well as networks.
  • also manage the acquisitions budget including tracking monies allocated, encumbered, and expended for different types of collections and subject areas.
  • In addition, develop partnerships with faculty to provide support in building the collection around individual research needs.
  • In addition, work closely with library liaisons to provide comprehensive support in building the Libraries’ collection around curricular needs and faculty research.
