Admission Counselors – Recruitment Professionals position is available at Nebraska Wesleyan University. The university seeks to hire two results-oriented as well as energetic recruitment professionals to join its dedicated Graduate, Adult and Transfer admissions team. Both of these positions are a full time, exempt, year-long positions, which require some evening work and significant local travel. Travel between Lincoln and Omaha is necessary task.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a recruitment portfolio and meet enrollment targets
  • Develop and execute effective outreach and recruitment strategies to reach working adults, including through corporate partnerships
  • Creatively convey the benefits of the Nebraska Wesleyan experience during formal presentations and through interactions with individual candidates.
  • Assist prospective students by assessing their skills and interests and guiding them through the application and enrollment process
  • Forecast enrollment projections including by combining strategy with analysis of historic data
  • Track student satisfaction and anticipate future needs while providing superior customer service
  • Work independently, as well as within a team setting, to set and achieve enrollment goals

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s preferred, particularly in the degree fields offered by Nebraska Wesleyan University.
  • Professional work experience in recruitment, sales, and/or customer service oriented context
  • Ability to set and achieve goals related to admission and enrollment
  • Creativity in developing new approaches to outreach and recruitment, particularly for working adults
  • Ability to build relationships and work with a variety of university stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and corporate partners
  • Ability to work independently, including being self-motivated and able to provide independent judgment in evaluating admission candidates
  • Evidence of good interpersonal communication skills, including strong oral and written communication skills
  •  Ability to manage and safeguard confidential information
  • Commitment to the mission of Nebraska Wesleyan University
