Assistant Director of Student Affairs position is available at Louisiana State University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises and executes NPHC council leadership development including planning and  implementation, including executive board/council retreat and training;
  • Supervises and advises council activities/programs including by not limited to step shows, NPHC week, Intake;
  • Supervision of the creation, implementation, and tracking of NPHC budget;
  • Serves as a liaison between (inter)national fraternity/sorority general headquarters/national, regional and local volunteers, and the University;
  • Serves as the liaison and supporter for officers, members, and advisors.
  • Implements training and education for students, advisors and alumni about policies pertaining to national organizations as well as the University;
  • Enforces chapter/council compliance with University policies related to risk management, recruitment and retention, accountability boards and chapter operations.
  • Assist with investigations of alleged misconduct by organizations.
  • Manages and organizes data related to chapter membership intake procedures and policies;
  • Approves all campus space requested by NPHC chapters;
  • Serves as primary contact for NPHC community.
  • Serves as an advisor for the Greek Board of Directors and related events as directed by the Associate Dean/Director of Greek Life.
  • Serves as a member of the management team for the  Greek Board of Directors including but not limited to functions of Greek Week, Philanthropy, Songfest, EMPOWER weekend, and fundraising
  • Supervises a Greek Board of Director Committee consisting of a director, assistant director and committee members.
  • Advances the goals of the Dean of Students, Student Affairs and the University.
  • Participates in the Greek Accountability meetings with Student Advocacy and Accountability, Greek Life, and respective fraternities/sororities.
  • Works closely with other departments on campus in serving minority students

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in higher education administration or closely related field;
  • Two to three years of professional work experience.
