Applications are invited to the above role to provide a consistently excellent standard of teaching and support for student learning, that is underpinned by scholarship related to the discipline. The Role holder will be expected to undertake teaching responsibilities within the School of Life Sciences in the area of Pharmacology and, in particular, Pharmacokinetics. The person appointed would be expected to teach at all levels from year 1 Pharmacy and Science students through to master’s level pharmacology.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Pharmacology, or closely-related discipline, supported by high level research experience, as well as experience of teaching pharmacokinetics and pharmacology at undergraduate or post-graduate level.

We are seeking applicants that have sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in pharmacology in order to develop teaching programmes and who hold the ability to devise, advise on and manage learning programmes. Previous experience in communicating complex and conceptual ideas to students and peers using a high level of skill and a range of media is an essential aspect of this role.
