Responsibilities

The Kinesiology program is seeking an Assistant Professor who can contribute to innovative research, teaching, and service activities integrating kinesiology into campus and community entities. Candidates will be expected to contribute to development of the proposed Kinesiology graduate program in addition to the current undergraduate programs. The College of Education seeks applicants with a demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds and ideologies in a global environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in kinesiology or related field by the date of hire.
  • Candidates must also demonstrate the potential to sustain a programmatic line of research (e.g. peer reviewed publications, conference presentations, or acquisition of external funding).

Preferred

  • Preference will be given to candidates with external funding and/or post-doctoral experience.
  • Strong candidates will show a commitment to quality teaching within kinesiology, mentoring of students, and service to the program, college and profession.
  • We seek faculty members to join our team who can demonstrate the ability to conduct interdisciplinary research with units across campus (e.g., Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Extension, Prevention Science, Biology).
