About position

The Tagliatela College of Engineering at the University of Engineering is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified and experienced Computer Engineer to accept the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering. Moreover, the position holder will be accountable for teaching, lecturing and tutoring students. It will be in the core area of Computer or Electrical Engineering. Basically, he/She needs to teach courses like embedded systems, computer architectures, networking, robotics, cyber-physical devices, and IoT. In addition to teaching, the successful appointee will also need to guide, help, and supervise students in the assessments and specific projects.

Required skills and qualification

An ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and skills

  • Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Prior teaching experience in the related field will be an asset.
  • Strong Communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and an efficient team player.
  • Dedication in active and experimental learning as well as in teaching.
  • Interest in student engagement is desirable.
  • Authorization to reside and work in the United States.
