Position Title: Assistant Professor of Athletic Training

Responsibilities

The Division of Health and Human Performance invites caliber, energetic and enthusiastic Athletic guru for the tenure track position in Athletic Training. In particular, the incumbent will perform the following duties

• Teaching assignments include, but are not limited to the following: Orthopedic Assessment, Evidence-based Research Design and Administrative Aspects of Health Professions.
• Program responsibilities include assessment, development, and evaluation of knowledge, skills and clinical abilities.
• In addition to teaching, faculty responsibilities include student advising and
• service to university committees. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a plan for their scholarship agenda.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

• An earned Doctorate in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine or closely related field. However, ABD considered with Ph.D. or EdD completed by August 2020.
• In addition to that, BOC and NYS certified.
• Similarly, a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university level
• Experience teaching at a four-year institution ACSM, NSCA or other related certifications.
• Familiar with CAATE standards.

Expanded Media Video Art Studios

The video facilities of the Division of Expanded Media are home to the longest standing educational video art studios in the US. The studios comprise varied, comprehensive and modular electronic toolsets. Furthermore, these tools and their histories are available for undergraduate and graduate students to explore for accomplishing personal, independent, advanced artworks.

Alfred University is a private university in Alfred, New York. It has an undergraduate population of around 2,000 and approximately 300 graduate students.
