Duties

The incumbent will do the following duties

  • He/she will participate in planning, program development, all details of construction project management and oversight of HDH facilities as they pertain to new capital projects.
  • Also, he/she will provide Sr. Superintendent with analyses and assistance in coordinating all warranty, as-built collection and storage, and operations and maintenance requirements for all newly accepted HDH structures, grounds, and associated systems.
  • Assist in the formulation of solutions for facility problems, develop construction projects where necessary and managing those contracted projects through completion and payment.
  • Additionally, develop long-range maintenance/repair project plans and assist in establishing annual budgets for those plans.
  •  Furthermore, he/she participates in the division’s budget development and management, short and long term strategic planning and other high-level projects.

Qualifications

The candidate should meet the given criteria for the Capital Project Analyst Vacancy at University of California

  • Proven knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration, and California Building Codes.
  • Also, understanding as demonstrated through the experience of Uniform Building Codes, California Building Codes, International Code Council, fire codes.
  • Proven ability to view and understand architectural plans.
  • Similarly, he/she should demonstrate experience reading and interpreting blueprints, construction or modification specifications, including contracts, plans, specifications; and work off of schematic designs.
  • Also, proven skills to develop project scope and drawings. Hands-on experience and knowledge of project administration and project cost control/management.
  • Likewise, the candidate should have computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software. Knowledge of software such as MS Office applications, MS Project, Excel, Outlook, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and AutoCAD, Photoshop, Revit Architecture, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite, Prolog, Primavera, Centric Projects, Bluebeam, Timberline and/or other related software.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical staff with respect to the development and refinement of technical solutions.
  • Furthermore, the incumbent should have the skill to analyze assignments, process workflows, and projects, gather data and information, determine and evaluate solutions or alternatives and provide recommendations.
