Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Associate serves as a front office assistant who answers phone calls, sets up clinic appointments and checks in patients who are scheduled for appointments in the Speech and Hearing Center. This person is responsible for sending out the appropriate first visit paperwork, checking to be sure paperwork is complete, maintaining patient files and resolving any issues that may arise prior to the patient’s first visit. Ability to process patient payments. Will become proficient with the electronic medical system.

  • Moreover, input Patient Information into the Electronic Medical System
  • Receiving and Distributing Mail, Packages using technology, software and equipment to view, enter, modify or copy data.
  • In addition, assists with patient survey

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Demonstrated possession of competencies necessary to perform the work
  • Likewise, experience in a medical office, ability to accurately process payments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Furthermore, familiarity with electronic medical systems.
  • Above all, HIPAA training

Competencies

  • Verbal as well as written communication skills
  • Knowledge about features of a variety of software programs, machines or office equipment
  • Also, ability to apply the knowledge of programs and services in problemsolving and responding to most questions and inquiries
  • Utilization of program knowledge to interface with other offices and organizations
