Coordinator position is available at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

About the Position

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as In-training exam proctor
  • Filing of confidential training records
  • Assist in preparing for annual incoming resident orientation
  • Assist in preparing and conducting the interview season
  • Assist with distribution of departmental schedules
  • Record conference attendance and provide monthly report to supervisor
  • Evaluations- Enter resident rotation schedules and faculty service assignments into the electronic evaluation management system
  • Manage annual departmental didactic schedule
  • Complete duty hours and submit to the GME office
  • Process leave forms for residents once leave is approved by program leadership
  • Complete all verification of training for all GME programs

Required Qualifications

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently and have professional oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to think critical and apply problem solving skills as well as be good team member.
  • Team work, respect, and communication are essential.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
