  • Develop a medium-term strategy/direction (3-5 years) for the Yale-NUS student life program, consistent with institutional ethos
  • Maintain an active and positive presence on campus, regularly interacting with students to support their growth and engagement
  • Oversee the Dean of Students Office operating budget including budget forecasting and planning, disbursement of funds and regular budget reconciliation

Requirements

The Dean will have deep knowledge of current thinking in student affairs and a strong track record in creating and delivering outstanding student services and residential student experience. The College needs a Dean who is at once collaborative and also comfortable in exerting leadership in these early years of the institution. An entrepreneurial and open attitude is needed as the Dean of Students Office will be supporting students as they further develop their own organisations and the College’s traditions and culture. The Dean will live on campus and be an active part of entwining our living and learning environments.
