  • Partner with units to develop annual budget, provide guidance on best practices and refer to policy as necessary throughout the budget preparation and submittal process
  • Provide regular and ad hoc financial analysis and reports to make recommendations, help answer questions and/or provide decision support
  • Analyze financial activities and related processes and make recommendations for improvement
  • Support units in the review and certification of their internal controls
  • Consult with units to establish a meaningful account structure
  • Provide financial analysis support and guidance to the innovation process
  • Develop and maintain program level pro-formas

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BBA in accounting, finance, or business administration or equivalent work experience
  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, budgeting, knowledge and experience using spreadsheets (Excel) and advanced spreadsheet functions
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with staff at all levels and with varying levels of financial and budgetary knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure of deadlines and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to complete tasks in a timely manner; adaptive to a changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate financial matters clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated skills in project management
  • Ability to work with financial systems and reporting tools
  • Significant experience with Business Objects and M-Pathways highly desired.
  • Skills testing may be required.
