About position

The incumbent will be teaching courses in animal science, reproduction, nutrition, feeds and feeding, animal breeding, and/or other courses based on interests and programmatic needs. In addition to teaching courses, s/he will be performing the following duties

• Develop and teach a variety of undergraduate courses.
• Effectively advise and mentor students at the undergraduate level.
• Engage students in high impact learning practices.
• Similarly, develop a sustainable scholarship program, including seeking external funds.
• Provide meaningful service to the department, college, university, and profession.
• Engage in assessment and continuous improvement of courses.
• Develop an innovative teaching and research program in animal science.
• Furthermore, perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Requirements

In order to be eligible for the position, the suitable candidate must have the following qualifications

• Ph.D. in Animal Science, DVM, or doctorate in a related discipline. In addition to that, deep knowledge of the U.S. Agribusiness and Food sector.
• Also, must have the expertise to support the undergraduate Agricultural Business degree, especially the animal science and pre-vet options.
• Furthermore, excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
