The National University of Ireland, Maynooth (Maynooth University) is seeking a motivated, dynamic, well qualified and experienced candidate to fill the vacant position of lecturer of History.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The position holder Lecturer of History will have to do the following things at the university

• Teaching, lecturing and supervising History to higher level students
• Engaging in ongoing outreach and promotional activities and the recruitment and selection of
  undergraduate and post-graduate students
• Conducting and supervising research activities
• Leading or contributing to strategic projects and initiatives
• Organizing workshops and seminars on the related discipline
• Doing some administrative duties if necessary, and so on

Required Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in History
• A strong academic record in teaching and research in an area that enhances and builds on the
• Department’s existing strengths
• A record of scholarly work and publication appropriate to career stage, and the potential to
  become a significant contributor in their field
• Experience of and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching,
  programme development and academic innovation
• Good administrative, organizational, teamwork and communication skills
