Job Description

The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University seeks two part-time instructors to teach PSY 205, Foundations of Human Behavior, during Summer Session II. Furthermore, this 3-credit Psychology course begins on June 29, 2020, and ends August 7, 2020.

Likewise, the course is an introduction to the fundamental principles of mental life and human behavior and explores the significance of psychology in human relationships and self-understanding.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level training in Psychology, along with relevant teaching experience.

Responsibilities 

• Develop and/or update a class syllabus.
• Additionally, the incumbent will prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
• Likewise, maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
• Also, present instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
• Meet during designated class periods.
• Similarly, submit complete mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
• Furthermore, grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Also, provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completing student evaluations.
• Likewise, build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
