Post-doctoral fellow at the University of  Hong Kong

The University of Hong Kong is looking for a Post-doctoral fellow to take participate and lead the research and academic curriculum under the Departement of Chemistry. If you have strong knowledge and qualification in chemistry then this position is for you.

About role

The prospective post-doctoral fellow will contribute to the special project carried out by a qualified and dynamic research team of the University of Hong Kong. The team will work on the genomics-guided discovery, biosynthesis, and bioengineering of natural products from ocean and human microbiota under the supervision of the director of the program.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or equivalent
• strong background in natural product chemistry or synthetic biology and its application to chemical biology research
• Experience in genomics, genetic editing, LC-MS-based metabolomics, and microbiome would be desirable.
• self-motivated and good organizational skills
• ability to work independently
• excellent command of written and spoken English
