Jobs at the University of Hongkong, the first tertiary education provider of the nation, the University of Hong Kong is looking for a motivated, robust and qualified postdoctoral fellow to assist the university with the research project under the Department of Biomedical Sciences.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a public research university in Hong Kong. Founded in 1911, its origins trace back to the Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese, which was founded in 1887. It is the oldest tertiary institution in Hong Kong. As of 2019, HKU ranks second in Asia by QS and forth by THE, and around top 30 internationally. It has been commonly regarded as one of the most internationalized universities in the world as well as one of the most prestigious universities in Asia. Today, HKU has ten academic faculties with English as the main language of instruction. HKU also ranks highly in the sciences, dentistry, biomedicine, education, humanities, law, economics, business administration, linguistics, political science, and the social sciences.

This is a wonderful opportunity for postgraduates to practice, work and live in Hong Kong. The appointee will participate in research projects relating to molecular signaling and transcriptome analysis. He/She will assist and contribute to the research projects and team.

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biomedical/Biological Sciences or relevant experiences
• Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, or developmental biology
• Self-motivated and ability to work in a team
• Able to take a lead and work independently if necessary
