Position Summary

The Program Coordinator will help coordinate activities for the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) Coordinating Center for North American Universities at USF. Additionally, the staff person will work closely with Dr. Roger Peters, Professor, and Director of the Coordinating Center to prepare mentorship training curricula, implement pilot training, and develop a network of universities in the U.S. and Canada that are interested in academic programs in addiction studies.

Duties

• Develops UTC training curricula for Basic and Advanced Level Counseling Skills mentorship course; develops and curates a web-based resource library and other materials for treatment practitioners who have completed Basic Level UTC courses.
• Additionally, in collaboration with other UTC personnel implements UTC Basic Counseling Skills mentorship course; serves as a mentor/facilitator of virtual group mentorship sessions.
• Also, he/she identifies North American universities in the U.S. and Canada that may be interested in implementing the UTC and in participating in a regional network of universities related to academic programs in addiction studies; disseminate the UTC curriculum to interested universities.
• Furthermore, he/she participates in meetings and conferences in the U.S. and internationally.
• Likewise, he/she compiles a database of North American universities to track how the UTC is being used and to maintain contact information.
• Similarly, the incumbent supervises student assistants in developing training materials and in regional network development activities.

Qualifications for Program Coordinator Vacancy at University of South Florida

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Education, Adult Education
• Or equivalent field with one year of experience in a professional training position; or a Master’s degree in the same field.

Preferred

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health/Social Sciences.
• Additionally, experience in providing addictions treatment, experience in providing staff training in behavioral health services, teaching experience
