Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate under the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering

Roles and responsibilities

In particular, the research associate will do the following duties under the command and supervision of Dr. Adam Printz.

  • Design and conduct research on projects that align with the group’s research goals as stated under the position summary. Similarly, assist the PI in preparing papers,  presentations, and proposals.
  • Publish manuscripts and present results at  conferences.
  • Setup and optimization of new equipment as necessary as well as train/mentor graduate and undergraduate students. Also, help to ensure that a culture of safety and collaborative research is instilled in the research group.
  • In addition to that, other duties assigned by the department.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, physics or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills. In addition to that,  exceptional organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and work independently to complete work assignments.
