Position Title: Technology Support Analyst – Contributing

About East Carolina University

East Carolina University is a public research university in Greenville, North Carolina. It is the fourth largest and one of the most reputed universities in the state of North Carolina. Moreover, the university offers hundreds of undergraduate and graduate courses to over 30,000 students.

About position

In general, the position provides consultation, support, and training to faculty, staff, and students who utilize computer or other technology-based systems in the College of Education (COE). Moreover, the incumbent is responsible for understanding a wide variety of technologies to effectively support clients’ technical needs.

Additionally, this position will also be responsible for communicating effectively the use of a wide variety of technical resources for providing technical support to clients. The Technology Support Analyst will assist with the maintenance of computer workstations, instructional technology equipment, handheld devices and other assistive technologies within the COE. However, the individual will also assist with imaging, placement, and tracking of new workstations and other assistive technology devices and also provide support for a variety of needs that include COE faculty, staff, students and special projects and grants (e.g., ECU community School and the NC New Teacher Support Program).

Requirements

In order to be eligible for the position, the candidates must have the following qualification

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area.
  • In addition to that, one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role.
  • Or, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
