The Melbourne Graduate School of Education is seeking a Professor to fill the position of Gerry Higgins Chair in the Centre for Positive Psychology. The Gerry Higgins Chair will contribute exceptional pedagogical and scholarly expertise, strategic planning and academic management to the refinement and enhancement of student opportunities to build and deliver world class academic programs in the field of positive psychology.

To be the ideal candidate for this position, you will have an established or rapidly emerging international reputation in positive psychology, with a strong research profile and demonstrable capacity for leadership in research, training and collaboration. You will have a substantial track record of success in significant research grants and income as well as in attracting and supervising research students. Your experience and ability to lead and establish productive collaborations within educational research is essential for this role. Additionally, the ideal candidate, you will be a well-respected leader internationally within your discipline and will also bring a sustained track record in academic engagement with the vision and capacity to help shape academic teaching and research.
