Position: Assistant Professor in Finance at the Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University

Position summary

The Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University is seeking applicants for a tenure track faculty position in finance. The successful candidate will involve in teaching activities and ensure providing quality experiences for undergraduate and graduate students.  Similarly, a successful candidate will also be able to teach core finance courses as well as offer electives based on research or professional experience. As an AACSB accredited business school, a candidate will conduct consistent, quality research in the finance discipline.

In addition to that, the Assistant Professor will do the following duties in particular

• Engage with and mentor students in alignment with the mission and vision of the University and College.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Basically, the standard teaching load is 3-4, with a course reduction for higher levels of research. Summer courses can be taught for additional compensation.
• Conduct consistent and quality research in the finance discipline.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

• Doctorate in finance or related field. However, candidates with an earned doctorate in another field or ABD who have an exceptionally strong background in finance will also be considered.
• Furthermore, the ability and desire to develop and deliver online courses for the undergraduate and graduate programs will be given preference in the hiring process.
