Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of an Instructor is to provide the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences & Technology (WSU Tech) campus/off-campus locations as assigned.

Qualifications for the Vacancy for Adjunct Faculty

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills 

• Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the teaching discipline.
• Teaching experience desired, experience in adult education preferred.
• Also, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Furthermore, must be available for required course assignments.
• Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
• Moreover, detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Also, ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

The incumbent does the following duties

5. Furthermore, identifies what needs to be done and take appropriate action.
6. Completes assigned work; meets deadlines without reminders/follow-up from the supervisor or others.
7. Performs work conscientiously with a high degree of accuracy.

9. Moreover, participates in at least 20 hours of professional development activities to remain current with industry trends and advancements.
