Duties

The incumbent will do the following duties

The Upward Bound Administrative Assistant provides communication, task prioritization, project management, and administrative support for the University of Notre Dame’s Upward Bound program. Reporting to the Associate Director of Upward Bound, the Upward Bound Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Associate Director of Upward Bound, the Assistant Director of TRiO Programs, the Director of TRiO Programs, as well as, Upward Bound Advisors and support staff to ensure the program and department operates and functions efficiently. The Upward Bound Administrative Assistant will also assist with administrative duties in collaboration with Talent Search

Qualifications for Vacancy for Administrative Assistant

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Sensitivity and awareness of the needs of diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience;
  • Also, an advanced/strong technical skills with evidenced proficiency in office productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite; Adobe Acrobat; and social media platforms;
  • Likewise, familiarity with the history and mission of TRiO Programs;
  • evidenced relationships with diverse student-family populations;
  • experience composing written, concise communications;
  • Furthermore, the ability to accurately edit and proofread materials for others;
  • Also, to develop and formulate moderately sophisticated spreadsheets;
  • Furthermore, the ability to resolve simple software/hardware problems.
