Job Description Summary

This position is a 9-month seasonal schedule (October 1 – June 30). Weekly hours may vary depending upon application volume, ranging from 35 to 40 hours per week.
Responsible for the accurate and timely management of the application process for prospective students applying to the School of Business graduate business programs. Supports and assists prospective students, applicants, and Enrollment Management (EM) recruiting team in navigating the paperless application system and associated Slate CRM database platform.

Duties

  • Coordinate and process a high volume of online applications and supplemental application materials (transcripts, resumes, test scores, etc.) from multiple programs and campuses concurrently.
  • Similarly, the incumbent serves as the point person for managing transcripts in order to ensure authenticity, confirm essential data, and verify degree completion requirements, with a significant volume from international documents requiring additional research/discovery.
  • Also, he/she maintains daily communication with in-progress applicants via email and phone to assemble required information and materials in order to complete application files, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Delivers outstanding, responsive customer service.
  • Additionally, he/she analyzes and maintains records for a database of over 3,000 current applications by monitoring for duplicate records, inputting and updating student, college and organization data, and facilitating student record creation and management.
  • Furthermore, proactively communicates and corresponds with internal stakeholders to assist in identifying high potential applicants, elevating specific candidate requests and processing files efficiently in order to meet the School’s program enrollment goals and admissions response timelines.
  • Likewise, the incumbent maintains thorough records of the application requirements while performing meticulous data entry in Banner, Slate CRR, and related EM systems.

Qualifications for Vacancy for Applications Management Assistant in the USA

High school diploma or associate’s degree plus specialized training with up to two years of administrative/customer service experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The University will give preference to candidates with higher education experience and/or a bachelor’s degree. Similarly, the candidate should have strong computer skills, including CRM or database experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in computer software skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Easily negotiates  the Internet and online resources. Preference for experience in Slate educational database platform. Along with the strong capacity to learn new CRM and application processing systems as required.
  • Similarly, the candidate should have strong interpersonal and communication skills (including verbal and written) in order to represent the department.
  • Additionally, a self-motivated team player with the ability to handle a high volume of work and meet deadlines.
  • Also, excellent organizational skills with detail-oriented aptitude.
  • Additionally, the ability to analyze and interpret data engaging in formal and informal problem-solving. Seeks additional information as needed to perform job functions and answer questions.
