Position Summary

The Psychology Department at Bowdoin College seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in cognitive psychology beginning July 1, 2021. A Ph.D. in cognitive psychology or a related field. Post-doctoral research or teaching experience is preferred. Also, the University will make an appointment at the Assistant Professor level.

Furthermore, teaching responsibilities (4 courses per year) will include a topics-level course in cognitive psychology, a course in research methods, and upper-level laboratory course, and a seminar course in the area of the candidate’s expertise. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrate the potential to develop an active and productive research program that involves undergraduates.
