Qualifications for Vacancy for Clinical Professor

• Applicants should possess a specialist qualification registrable with the Hong Kong Medical Council in relevant disciplines, and preferably other relevant higher academic qualification (e.g. MD, MS, Ph.D.).
• Likewise, they should have a distinguished and sustained record of high-quality impactful research, as indicated by publications and competitive grants, with demonstrated clinical excellence.
• Additionally, they should also have international recognition for scholarship and professional expertise.
• In addition, applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to, and evidence of, excellence in teaching, curriculum development, capacity building, mentoring early career researchers, and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Moreover, the University will give preference to those with demonstrated administrative leadership in universities or healthcare settings.

Duties

• The University will map the appointees to the relevant departments and take up a key role in achieving the highest standard of quality in all aspects of:
• its teaching, research, and clinical programs
• Likewise, fostering academic collaboration within and outside the Faculty/University
• Also, pursuing new strategic directions for the further development of their respective departments.
• They may have to discharge duties at the hospital(s) and clinic(s) affiliated with HKU Health System.
