- In collaboration with the Board of Director’s chair, WSUF CEO, and Executive Leadership Team, the Director plans, organizes and leads the strategic planning efforts to advance the Board through a first-in-class board experience and support the dynamic engagement of the Board members so that their experience and networks are well leveraged.
Duties
The incumbent will do the following duties
- The Director maintains official records of WSU Foundation Board of Directors; coordinates the scheduling, planning, and support of all Board of Directors and committee meetings; responds to questions and requests for information
- He /she ensures compliance with bylaws and operating procedures
- Also, helps to manage and coordinate all communication with Directors, Trustees, and Emeriti Trustees
- Similarly, he/she serves as a liaison to the chair of the WSU Foundation Board of Directors.
- Additionally, this position will provide oversight in the research, development, and implementation of best practices in board management.
- Furthermore, The Director will also serve as the administrative liaison to the WSUF related organizations.
Qualifications
The candidate should meet the given criteria for the Vacancy for Director, Board Relations in the USA
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Additionally, any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Also, experience in management and organizing complex tasks while collaborating with fellow colleagues and volunteer leadership.
- Evidence of ability to interact with and manage high-level executive leadership.
- Also, familiarity with email, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
- Moreover, he/she must be willing to work evenings and weekends; participate in occasional business-related travel.
- Furthermore, he/she must have or be able to obtain at the time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Preferred
- Experience providing executive-level support to governing boards and committees, including managing projects in support of board operations and goals.
- Additionally, background in development and/or advancement at an institution of higher education or similarly complex organization.
- Aldo, at least one year of management experience.
- Furthermore, familiarity with Robert’s Rules of Order and parliamentary procedure.
