Position Summary
The position is the Director of the business and financial operations of Student Health Services. Operations include budget, statistical reports, provider performance, marketing, facility management, and customer service standards.
Duties
The incumbent foes the following duties
- Director of Fiscal Operations is responsible for oversight of all business and fiscal operations of Student Health Services. Operations include budget, statistical reports, planning of services, marketing, and facility management.
- In addition, monitors and recommends the adjustment of student fees as needed. The position supervises 6 direct reports and 25 indirect reports.
- Similarly, SHS liaison for contractual relationships with USF Health (UMSA). Responsibilities include ensuring the proper administration, integrity, and contract adherence of outsourced insurance billing functions and processes.
- Also, he/she maintains status as a USF Health EPIC superuser. Implements and ensures the accuracy of standards and procedures for data collection of patient demographics, and insurance information. Provides monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Furthermore, responsible for overall management and coordination of USF Student Insurance products and student compliance with state and USF insurance regulations.
- Additionally, the candidate ensures that students required to have insurance meet mandates. Similarly, he/she supervises staff providing insurance outreach and insurance compliance ensuring that customer service standards are maintained.
- Acts as liaison to the SUS system insurance servicing underwriter for the USF Student Health Insurance program.
- Moreover, he/she monitors the investigation of insurance inquiries/complaints regarding health insurance matters to ensure student satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of seven years related exempt experience, including five years of managerial experience.
- Also, experience leading a team, project, program, or function.
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in management, business, health care administration, public administration, human development, organizational development, or a related field.
- Furthermore, ten years or more of direct experience in college health or in a related area of clinical practice and administration including the design, development, and direction of health-related programs and services and responsibility for fiscal management, budget development, and human resources.
