Position Summary

Provides leadership and management for the Internship department, including programs, courses, systems, and policies. Performs the roles and responsibilities of an Internship Coordinator as needed, including teaching up to 2 classes per semester. Primary liaison to the College for the Internship Office. Works collaboratively with the Career Center and Employer Outreach on an ongoing basis

Duties

1. Provides department leadership, establishing and maintaining a long-term vision for the department.
2. Also, develops and implements new program initiatives including the use of new technology.
3. Additionally, allocates and oversees the Internship Office budget. Reviews/approves planned expenditures.
4. Likewise, reviews and updates department publications, including Internship and Career Center brochure, Site Supervisor Handbook, and Parent Handbook.
5. Manages changes to MyEndicott and the website with assistance from support staff.
6. Furthermore, advances the reputation of Endicott’s Internship Program through leadership initiatives within the experiential learning community. Promotes the program at leading regional, national, and international conferences through conference presentations and leadership roles on committees.
7. Similarly, stays current on standards and trends for experiential learning and academic internships. Ensures compliance with standards for professional practice and operational best practices for internships.
8. Also, manages the Site Supervisor Evaluation and Student Survey data collection and analysis processes.
9. Likewise, manages the Endicott College Internship Database

Qualifications

1. Master’s degree in a field related to experiential learning
2. Also, prior experience managing a large academic internship or cooperative education program
3. Likewise, experience working with software systems used to manage experiential learning and evaluation processes.
