Duties

  • Provide instruction in accordance with the University and within the scope of departmentally-defined courses, programs of study, and degrees. Responsibility includes timely interaction with students and quality assessment of student work with substantive feedback.

  • Prepare for, and personal conduct, all assigned courses.
  • Additionally, provide weekly “office hours” support and communicate (e.g., email, posting, live-chat, etc.) in a timely manner with students, other faculty, staff, and School Dean, particularly regarding student concerns or issues.

Qualifications for Vacancy for Financial Planner

Education

  • A Master’s degree as well as having a Financial Planning Certification (CFP). Faculty teaching graduate courses must hold a doctorate degree for which they teach or hold a master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the specific discipline along with professional experience.
  • Additionally, faculty should have experiential qualifications in addition to academic credentials.
  • Prospective faculty must enroll in and successfully complete the GU900 Faculty Training Course in order to be considered.
  • Also, all degrees must be conferred from an institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Furthermore, for faculty holding degrees awarded by non-U.S. institutions, the institutions must be approved by the appropriate governmental or accreditation agency.

Work Experience 

  • Five years of professional experience in the business field.
  • Also, the financial planning experience.
  • Online teaching experience is preferred.
  • Additionally, a student-centered instructional philosophy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products, Internet, MS Project, course management systems, computerized assessment software, and web authoring software.
  • Also, knowledge of, and use of, the Blackboard Learning Management System.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with technicians and faculty
  • Additionally, knowledge of distance learning educational model.
  • Also, the incumbent should be able to gather, analyze, evaluate, and integrate information electronically through interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
