Duties

The incumbent will do the following duties

• Managing eRaider library access, circulation, interlibrary loan, ALMA systems, etc.
• Additionally, supporting digital and print textbook acquisitions and curating and troubleshooting purchasing options for students.
• Working with faculty to design and implement information literacy programs aligned with Texas Tech´s core curriculum and majors.
• Furthermore, direct all operations for the Peer-to-Peer Tutoring Center.
  This responsibility includes the following:
  Supervising and evaluating peer tutors.
• Coordinating with teams responsible for student success, both in San José and in Lubbock.
• Providing skill-building workshops to students.
• Enhancing and expanding learning support services as the student population grows.
• Also, teach student development (and disciplinary) courses. This responsibility includes the following:
• Likewise, teaching in the student development program (English, math, or first-year student success)
• Also, teaching in the core-curriculum or one of the majors, if qualified to do so.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent.
• Additionally, proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience or coursework in the use of electronic reference tools.
• Moreover, evidence of a student-friendly customer service orientation.
• Furthermore, familiarity with emerging technologies and social media.
