Job Title: Program Officer, Malaria

Duties

Program Management

  • Manage project backstopping, independently
    • Be an integral member of the malaria team at CCP, participating actively in team meetings and in malaria technical discussions
    • Additionally, format, edit and produce documents and presentations as needed
    • Contribute to work plans, reports and budgets
    • Also, act as liaison for consultant activities, ensuring statement of work, contract and deliverables are in place
    • Likewise, initiate, track and monitor procurements, contracts, work plans and other administrative and programmatic documents
    • Work closely with finance and administrative staff to ensure timely and compliant spending

People Management

  • May independently manage the work of student employees
  • Also, assist in orienting and training new staff members
  • Moreover, the incumbent may manage group work with support, including task coordination and management
  • Additionally, this position has no assigned supervisory duties

Technical Work

  • Contribute to malaria and/or social and behavior change technical work, including strategies, toolkits, online how-to guides, communication materials, scripts, job aids, websites, independently.
    • Gather, summarize, synthesize relevant background information to inform the above technical work
    • Similarly, seek out and use tools, processes, best-practices, and colleague reviews to ensure all products and documents are of the highest quality possible.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (M.A., MHS, MPH)
  • Also, three (3) years of related experience.
  • Furthermore, additional relevant experience and/or training may substitute for some education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working on malaria, global health, social and behavior change, and/or community health worker programs is preferred, as is experience backstopping international public health programs. International experience.
  • Furthermore, foreign language abilities.
