Job Description Summary

Provide leadership to plan, organize, and manage all of the activities related to the Admissions and Records departments, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the college’s student records.

Qualifications for Vacancy for Registrar in the USA

  1. Master’s Degree in a related field.
  2. Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years full-time or equated experience in the professional area.
  3. Must have supervised personnel and administered programs directly related to the professional area for a minimum of five (5) years.

Selection Criteria

The College will use the following criteria to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. Furthermore, the Institute will make other information and observations during the interview process. Additionally, the candidates must submit their resume/CV and cover letter for the application. They must also ensure that their documents address the criteria listed below for this position.

  1. Hire, supervise, and evaluate the Associate Registrar and all other assigned staff.
  2. Additionally, organize and administer the records, registration, and graduation functions. That includes transcript evaluations, health professions admissions, etc.
  3. Likewise, participate and serve as part of the Student Affairs Leadership Team. Lead initiatives as determined by the Dean.
  4. Also, the incumbent is responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining, and reporting student records within FERPA guidelines., e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, mid-term verification, athletic eligibility and audits, and other associated audits.
  5. Furthermore, he/she will provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technological applications.
  6. Develop and administer the departmental budget.
  7. Research, analyze, and resolve student disputes as they relate to records and registration.
  8. Similarly, collaborate with administrators, deans, faculty, IT, and advisors to facilitate and improve services to students, including catalog, registration, and records policy questions.
  9. Ensure that relevant staff is managed/supervised within the guidelines of the collective bargaining agreement.
  10. Furthermore, serving as an ex-officio member of the Curriculum Committee and so on..

Job Requirements

  1. Must be available to work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
  2. Also, the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  3. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
  4. Additionally, the Institution will conduct a background investigation prior to offering employment. Also, if the candidate gets selected, he/she should submit a signed authorization for release of personal information.
