Responsibilities
The incumbent will do the following duties
- Work cooperatively as part of multidisciplinary campus-based health and mental health team.
- Additionally, provide psychological and other diagnostic evaluation, risk assessment, counseling and crisis management, brief treatment, and referrals, as indicated, to CSU-Pueblo students
- Also, create clear, thorough and timely documentation in an electronic health record system
- Conduct mental health/psychological evaluations and assessments.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy.Provide consultation to students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health/behavioral and student life issues.
- Similarly, consult with the Director of the Counseling Center in collaboration with the Dean of Students regarding students with concerning behaviors.
- Likewise, communicate with University personnel and other concerned individuals, such as family members, guardians and/or involved parties within HIPAA guidelines.
- Furthermore, share on-call, intake, and emergency responsibilities with other staff members.
Qualifications
The incumbent must meet the following requirements for the Vacancy for Staff Psychologist in the USA at Colorado State University
- PsyD or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
- Also, licensed as a Psychologist by the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners or eligible for licensure in the State of Colorado
- Excellent grasp of psychopathology, diagnostic systems, risk assessment and management
- Likewise, demonstrated ability to problem solve and respond to complex, urgent situations in a timely manner while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and diplomacy
- Also, he/she should have the ability to effectively communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Also, demonstrated knowledge and sensitivity to a wide range of personal diversity and multicultural issues, including trauma-informed care
- Similarly, proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Specialized training in one or more of the areas of crisis intervention, sexual assault or other trauma, substance abuse, and learning disabilities
- Additionally, experience in risk assessment, crisis assessment and management, mental health triage, brief psychotherapy, and group treatment approaches
- Also, experience using a variety of screening and assessment instruments
- Furthermore, the incumbent must have experience working with multi-cultural clients and an understanding of inclusion within a college setting.
