Job Title: Vice President for Enrollment Management
Duties
The incumbent will do the following duties
- work with the ELT to establish, and then meet university targets for undergraduate, graduate, and working-adult enrollments, and increase the number of residential and out-of-state students;
- Additionally, build a strong network of faculty, staff, and alumni who are eager and able to assist with recruitment and sustain it with clear, frequent, and honest communication.
- Also, develop effective enrollment strategies with limited financial resources;
- Likewise, lead, teach, and mentor the direct reports;
- Similarly, develop new markets in the adjoining states and develop more articulation agreements with community colleges in the region;
- Likewise, partner with the Office of International Affairs to develop and implement strategies to recruit international students; and
- Additionally, coordinate retention efforts with Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to meet the University’s retention targets.
Qualifications for Vacancy for Vice President at Shepherd
The ideal candidate will have:
- at least five years in enrollment management at progressively higher levels of responsibility and a record of success;
- Additionally, a master’s degree in a related field;
- Likewise, the ability to relate well with faculty, and the ability to make the case for residential liberal arts education;
- Also, experience in undergraduate, graduate, working-adult, and international admissions;
- Similarly, excellent oral and written communications skills;
- Also, the ability to interpret data effectively and use it in developing comprehensive enrollment management strategies with an emphasis on recruitment;
- Likewise, strong computer skills and an understanding of social media and their use in admissions; and
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially and collaboratively.
